Intrigued by how emojis shape our online interactions, I set out to examine their cultural significance and ubiquity as modern-day hieroglyphs. By translating these fast, digital symbols into slow, meticulous, hand-painted works on canvas, the series highlights the tension between the ephemeral nature of digital media and the permanence of traditional painting.
